When you arrive in Disentis for skiing you have no problem parking your car. There is a huge parking lot at the lower station. The station in the valley is called St. Catharina.
Even at very busy days you can park your car since at the other side of the road you have another parking lot. If you want you can ski back to the parking lot taking the last slope and arrive at your car on skis. But this slope is not always covered with snow. Most people take the cable-car going up and returning.
The parking lot is free.
But why not use the bus? Some hotels like the Disentiserhof and Hotel Cucagna have their own shuttlle-busses for their clients. There is also a local bus called the ‘ortsbus’ in german language. During the peak season the bus drives around the village about every 30 minutes and it really passes almost every road.
When you are coming back and you do miss the bus you can wait for another bus in two bars at the lower cable-car station. One is called La Treglia and another is right at the exit of the cable-car. The local bus service is done by the well known Postbus during high season. The time tables are at the busstop.
