Golfing around Disentis

For those loving to play golf the Surselva has nice golf courses to offer.

In Disentis there is only a mini golf, so no real golf course. But Disentis is the ideal hub for golfing in the region due to its central location in the Surselva region.

Sedrun has a very nice golf course in Tschamutt, the last village before the Oberalp pass. The surroundings are spectacular. When you look up after a swing with your club your eyes meet the Oberalpstock. This golf course is the first one on the river Rhine, very near its spring (Tomasee). The Rhine is actually the central axis of this very exclusive golf course and some fairways cross the Rhine. So watch out not to loose your golfing ball in this world-famous river.

Brigels near Breil is another village near Disentis offering a splendid Golf course. This golf is up in the mountains at 1300 m above sea level. This golf course also offers splendid views. They have a very clear price list you can consult on the golf course’s web site.

The third golf course in the Rhine valley is located in Sagogn near Flims and Laax. It is a 40 minutes drive from Disentis. It is a very new golf course with 9 holes. It is another very nice golfing spot. They also have a very nice site where you can consult the price list.

Crossing the Oberalp pass you arrive in Andermatt. Near Andermatt lies the village of Realp where you will find the  Gotthard Golf Club. This golf club also offers a very clear web site. You can reach Realp after a 40 minutes drive across the Oberalp from Disentis.

Crossing the Lukmanierpass into Ticino you will have to drive to Bellinzona or Ascona to find a golf course. So it is better to book a hotel for a night over there if you sleep late. It is a 90 to 120 minutes drive from Disentis.
